How ISO Recording Works on the ATEM Mini Pro ISO

The ATEM Mini Pro ISO records each of its four HDMI inputs as a clean feed. A clean feed contains only the raw camera signal without downstream keys, graphics overlays, lower thirds, or transition effects applied during the live production. Each ISO stream is encoded in H.264 at up to 70 Mb/s and saved as an .mp4 file on the connected USB-C external drive.

The fifth recording stream is the program output — the same switched feed that the standard ATEM Mini Pro records. This file captures the live edit exactly as it was switched, including all transitions, graphics, and effects. The program stream records at the bitrate configured in the streaming quality settings.

All five video streams record simultaneously to a single USB-C SSD. The six audio streams (four HDMI embedded stereo pairs plus two analog stereo inputs) record as individual 24-bit 48 kHz WAV files alongside the video. This separation enables complete audio remixing in post-production — adjusting levels, removing noise, or rebalancing sources that could not be corrected during the live event.

DaVinci Resolve Project File Integration

The ATEM Mini Pro ISO generates a DaVinci Resolve project file (.drp) automatically during every recording session. This file saves to the same USB-C drive alongside the video and audio recordings. Opening the .drp file in DaVinci Resolve reconstructs the entire live production as a multi-track editing timeline.

The generated project file contains the complete sequence of cuts and dissolves as they occurred during the live switch.
