Church Motion Backgrounds and Graphics: A Review of the Best in 2023
If you’re on the hunt for motion graphics to elevate your church services, you’re in the right place. Whether you’re looking to enhance your live streams or add a touch of professionalism to your in-person services, there are a plethora of options available. From professionally designed templates to countdowns, the market is brimming with offerings.
Recently, ProPresenter, a popular presentation software for churches, has also entered the market, providing motion backgrounds and countdowns that integrate seamlessly into their platform.
Having used several of these services, I’ve decided to share my top three picks. In this post, we’ll take a behind-the-scenes look at the members’ area of each provider, discuss what they offer, and delve into the pros and cons of each.
1. Church Motion Graphics
The first service we’re going to discuss is Church Motion Graphics. Please note that while I am an affiliate for Church Motion Graphics, this post is not sponsored by them or any other service mentioned.
Church Motion Graphics is the most expensive option I’ll be discussing today. Their premium package costs $349 for the first year and $200 for each subsequent year. The standard package is $250 for the first year and $150 after that. Given the relatively small price difference, I’d recommend opting for the premium package, especially if you think you might want access to the additional features it offers.
What does Church Motion Graphics offer?
Church Motion Graphics offers a variety of resources, including motion graphics, slide templates, and social graphics. Their motion graphics section includes motion backgrounds, countdowns, and motion titles. They also offer themed packs, which include a variety of resources in a consistent style.
Their library is extensive, with over 7,000 motion backgrounds that are perfect for displaying behind song lyrics or scriptures. They also offer themed backgrounds for specific occasions like Easter.
In addition to motion backgrounds, they offer slide templates for announcements, sermon series, and live streams. They even have templates for specific services like Pentecost and graduation.
One unique feature of Church Motion Graphics is their Pro countdown timers. These are countdown timers without a background, meaning you can overlay them onto any video of your choice. This feature requires some video editing skills, but it allows for a high degree of customization.
2. Motion Worship
The next service on our list is Motion Worship. This service is significantly more affordable than Church Motion Graphics, making it a great option for churches on a tighter budget. For just $80 a year, you can gain full access to everything they offer.
What does Motion Worship offer?
While Motion Worship’s library isn’t as extensive as Church Motion Graphics, the quality of their offerings is impressive. Their designs feel more premium and less cartoonish, which may appeal to churches looking for a more sophisticated aesthetic.
Their offerings include a variety of motion backgrounds, from abstract designs to nature scenes. They also offer mini movies for $30 a year, or you can opt for just the motions (without the mini movies) for $50 a year.
One thing that sets Motion Worship apart is the quality of their designs. Whether it’s a smoky abstract background or an aerial view of a river, their designs are well-executed and visually appealing.
3. Pro Content
The final service we’ll discuss is Pro Content, a new offering from ProPresenter. ProPresenter is a leading presentation control software used in event venues and churches worldwide. They’ve recently entered the content market, offering motion backgrounds, templates, and more for $200 a year.
What does Pro Content offer?
Pro Content’s integration with ProPresenter sets it apart from the other services. Their entire library is available within ProPresenter, even if you haven’t downloaded the content. This feature makes it incredibly convenient for ProPresenter users, but the content can also be downloaded and used with other software.
Pro Content offers a variety of worship packs, each centered around a specific theme. While some of their designs lean towards the pastel, pixelated aesthetic that I personally don’t prefer, they also offer a wide variety of nature-themed backgrounds and other designs that feel very premium.
In addition to their motion backgrounds, Pro Content also offers intro videos, similar to Church Motion Graphics. These videos can serve as a bridge between a countdown and the start of a service, adding a professional touch to your worship experience.
Which Is Best?
Each of these services offers a unique set of features and resources that can enhance your church’s worship experience.
Motion Worship stands out for the quality of their content, even though their library is the smallest of the three. Their mini movies and premium-feeling motion backgrounds are particularly impressive. At just $80 a year, they offer excellent value for money.
Pro Content, on the other hand, offers the convenience of integration with ProPresenter, making it a great choice for churches already using this software. Their library may not be as extensive as Church Motion Graphics, but their designs feel premium and their offerings are diverse. At $200 a year, they’re also more affordable than Church Motion Graphics.
Finally, Church Motion Graphics offers the largest library of the three services. While their recent designs may not appeal to everyone, the sheer volume of content they offer means there’s likely something for everyone. Their pricing is higher than the other two services, but if you plan to use a wide variety of resources, they could be a good choice.
Ultimately, the best service for your church will depend on your specific needs, preferences, and budget. I encourage you to explore each of these services and see which one resonates most with you.
Remember, these tools are not just for in-person services. They can also be used to enhance your live streams, providing a professional and engaging experience for your online congregation.
I hope this review has been helpful in your search for the perfect motion graphics service for your church. If you have any other services you love, please share them in the comments. I’m always on the lookout for new resources to explore.
