Important Pricing Update: Industry-Wide Increases & What It Means for You

In recent weeks, major shifts in global trade have had a direct impact on the video production equipment industry. Due to newly imposed tariffs and ongoing shipping disruptions, prices and product availability are being affected across several leading brands. We want to keep you informed about what’s happening—and how we’re working to soften the impact for our customers.

PTZOptics: Price Increases and Limited Availability

PTZOptics has been hit particularly hard by the current tariff situation. As a result:

• Product availability is lower than usual as shipping delays continue.

• Prices have increased dramatically—anywhere from 16% to over 40% on some models, effective immediately.

Unfortunately, these increases are unavoidable industry-wide. In response, we’ve made the difficult decision to increase our pricing on PTZOptics kits. However, rather than passing the full cost to our customers, we’ve chosen to split the difference.

We’ve capped our price increase at 15%, absorbing the remainder ourselves to help ease the transition.

Blackmagic Design: ATEM Switchers Also Affected

Blackmagic Design has also announced price increases across their product line, including the popular ATEM switchers. While these increases aren’t as steep as those from PTZOptics, they still have a significant impact on live production budgets.

BirdDog: Price Hike Coming June 1

BirdDog has issued an early warning: expect a minimum 20% price increase starting June 1. While final pricing hasn’t been confirmed, we recommend placing orders before the end of May to lock in current rates.

Canon: Price Increases Coming Soon

Canon has also announced plans to raise prices, though they haven’t provided an effective date yet. If you’ve been considering Canon gear, it may be wise to act now before increases take effect.
